I really love baking… I don’t do it often enough.  But when I do get the time to bake – you better believe my kitchen is a mess!  I created this page so that I can share my baking projects and special recipes.

I don’t always have time to bake from scratch.

I strive to be “Martha-Stewart” like but with a more efficient, simpler and user-friendly baking style.

I inherited a sweet tooth from a long ancestry of women who love bread, carbs and dessert. I certainly wouldn’t call myself the best baker out there … I’m still learning… but I like to try new recipes and always give it a shot. Sometimes they turn out and sometimes the don’t…. this is a documentary of my Baking Trials and Tribulations.

Some things I have baked in the past and don’t have pictures for:

  • Chocolate Meringue pie (turned out delicious) – needed to bake the crust a little longer before putting the chocolate filling, but still good
  • Coconut Meringue pie (total disaster) – needed to bake the crust longer and needed to let the filling set longer first
  • Numerous cupcakes – always a favorite in our house…. Gary especially likes to have a few leftover that don’t have any icing on them
  • Pecan pie (turned out great) – I’ve baked a few pecan pies and always love them, I tend to use a different recipe each time but it always tastes good
  • Peach Cobbler (turned out great) – this is a July 4th tradition for Gary and Me – I bake it every year on July 4th and I use extra crust to satisfy my carbaholic taste buds :)
Here are some pictures of my past baking projects (more to come soon):
