I love flowers. I wish I had a better green thumb. This page will be dedicated to my attempts at gardening – I’ll let you know what works and what doesn’t in our flower beds.
2010 List of things I’ve planted:
Front Yard (yellow them):
Day lillies (yellow/orange) – these bloomed!
Gladiolus (yellow) – these bloomed!
Red Bronze Leaf Begonia – these bloomed!
Fides Kalanchoe (Red) – these bloomed!
Back yard (pink theme):
Dianthus – these bloomed!
Bogonia – these bloomed!
Lily of the Valley
Stargazer Lily – these bloomed (need to be put in a spot with a little bit more sun next year)
Gladiolus – these bloomed! (need to be planted in spurts next year and in a wind resistant area)
Hostas
Astilbe
Hardy Phlox
Snapdragons – these bloomed! (did better in a pot than in the ground)
Holly Fern – these bloomed!
Caladium – these bloomed!
Elephant Ears – these bloomed!
Dahlia – these bloomed and did really well!
